The establishment of the society was first thought by Dr. Hamdi Mohamed Abdel Wahab el-Gawadi professor of parasitology and deputy of faculty of veterinary medicine. Suez canal university and Dr. Mohamed Saeed Soliman professor of parasitology and vice president of Fayoum University who became the first chairman of the society on April 1st, 1999.
